Company History

Dakota Natural Foods, Inc. formed as a C-Corp in October of 1976.

The company’s original business consisted of custom roasting sunflower seeds.

In April of 1977 the company introduced the brand Dakota Kid sunflower seeds to the market place.

In 1986 the company converted to an S-Corp.

Dakota Kid was and still is represented by Snack Food Brokers within their respective markets.

In 2003 the company introduced the brand Jumboz sunflower seeds to the market place.

In July of “2007” Dakota Kid moved its processing and business operations  to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
